Audio Blog Posts

Sometimes I get too worked up to type; too caught up to use a keyboard. Commentaries surface so quickly, the only way to vent them properly is by giving them a voice. Breaking news that needs a bit of banter, a touch of thinking out loud. Stories I think you need to hear about, literally. For me, the BuriedLogic Audio blog posts are the only way to go. Recorded onboard my Mobile BaseCamp and posted to BuriedLogic using the latest in satellite technologies from MotoSat, it's a way to share with you some thoughts off the top of my head and from the back of my mind. Hit the Audio speaker button, sit back and strap in.

Return 2 Vendor
Return To Vendor

Are you familiar with the term “Return to Vendor?”

It references a malfunctioning, damaged or defective product. Once identified, the faulty product needs to be removed from the retail store by returning it to its original vendor. Got to get it off the shelves! You have a piece of defective gear, you return it.

When you show a depraved, brutal indifference to Human Life, you in turn, set your shelf life.

When your actions evince a vicious disregard for the life of another, you have an expiration date.

At Buried Logic, we would be very interested in the person or people you would nominate to be Returned 2 Vendor.

NOW IT IS YOUR TURN!

Six slayings in two states tied to one suspect in custody

Authorities have arrested a 30-year-old Tennessee man, Jacob Shaffer, in connection with the killing of six people including 2 juveniles — five in Tennessee and one in Alabama, according to CNN.

Sheriff Murray Blackwelder, of Lincoln County described the slayings “one of the worst crimes Lincoln County has ever seen.”

It made me think of the recent rash of “worst crimes…ever seen” and how that trend seems to be growing.

The 8 Cowards accused of gunning down the Florida, Gulf Coast couple followed the slayings of 5 victims in South Carolina at the hands of a Serial killer, kicking off the deadly month of July.

Do you ever wonder if senseless brutality and murder desensitize the general population? Do we hear of these horrific crimes, suffer a bit of momentary revulsion and then simply go on about our day?  These crimes, and the criminals that commit them, shouldn’t be purged from our memory simply because they are to disgusting and to scary to focus on.

When I first wrote, “How low can we go on the new human low scale?” I did so to keep these stories alive, if you will. I did so in hopes of continually building a case for the permanent removal of “defective” criminals from our streets and communities.

At Return 2 Vendor you can vote for the top criminal or criminals that week, and play your role in sending future cowards the message that enough is enough, that there will be certain and swift punishment for violent homicides and that the victimization of  innocent people will not be tolerated.
